  1. Editorial Committee Invitation

When I first assumed the Editorship of Case magazine back in 2007 I put in place an Editorial Group to assist us in the development of this important publication. Three years down the track some members have left us for various reasons (two went overseas), and so I would like to invite others to consider serving in this way.  I would appreciate receiving expressions of interest by Friday 13th August.

We hold quarterly meetings of the group at New College. Attendance at the meetings in Sydney is not essential, but we do need some people who can attend the meetings.

The editorial group was formed to do at least five things:

  1. Provide advice on topics or issues that we should address.
  2. Act as a group of critical friends in relation to design and content.
  3. Help to source writers and material for the magazine and the website.
  4. Help to regularly evaluate the magazine and website.
  5. Act as a one of several readers for specific pieces that we might be considering for a future issue of Case magazine.

If interested in being part of this group please send me an email (t.cairney@newcollege.unsw.edu.au) outlining something about your backgrounds and interest in helping us in this important area.

  1. Case Magazine

You should by now have received Case #23. We hope you are enjoying reading about music and theology, and that it has whet your appetite for the New College Lectures with Jeremy Begbie.

Case #24 is underway, and will look at the relation between work and Christianity. It’s shaping up to be an interesting read, with the topics explored including the idea of vocation, choosing to work at home, and the place of work in the new creation.

Become a CASE Associate to receive your copy of Case #23 and the subsequent three issues of Case magazine. By becoming a CASE associate you will also receive discounts/free entry to CASE events and will have access to associates-only resources on our CASE website.
